This is my Short Story page, and here I will accumulate information on all the short stories I've written that have been published. I'll give the order info and the promos, but no deeper reflections as they are, by definition, short stories. Enjoy!

Sunlight on Water is a short story available in the anthology Two Tickets to Paradise by Dreamspinner Press, and it released on Feb 20, 2012.

Here's the blurb:

"On his first trip anywhere, Armas “Ari” Aalto meets a gorgeous stranger, Ryan Knight, on the beach of a tropical island paradise. Sparks turn into flames as they plunge into a sensuous affair. But their happily-ever-after is threatened when first a misassumption and then a lie lead to a revelation of the worse kind."

5 Star Review at Top 2 Bottom Reviews:

"[Sunlight on Water] is another of my favorite stories in this anthology. Told in first person with Armas’s point of view, the story moved smoothly and kept me captivated with the characters within it. I loved Armas’s determination to fight for the man he knows Ryan can be and for them to build a life together. Such a sweet, sexy and romantic story, I truly hated to see it come to an end."

The Witching Hour is a short story in the anthology Time Is Eternity by Dreamspinner Press, and it released on June 1, 2012.  This is available as an individual story and as a part of the June Daily Dose bulk package at Dreamspinner Press, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retailers.

Here's the blurb:

"Teenager Perry Green witnesses his adult neighbor, Seth Moore, crying in his car and decides to console the man he’s spent many a year fantasizing about. Then a magical grandfather clock chimes, marking the beginning of the witching hour, and the two of them are thrust back in time to a pivotal moment in Seth’s past. Though the magic of time seems to be on their side, it’s up to Perry to show Seth that love surpasses time itself."

4.5 Star Review by Top 2 Bottom Reviews:

"I really loved this story. I thought the storyline was very creative and I enjoyed the camaraderie and the emotional connection between Perry and Seth. This story moves very quickly and gives just the right amount of angst and romance that kept this reader enthralled with it from start to finish. I loved the banter and the sizzling chemistry between the two heroes and I hated to see it come to an end. The Witching Hour is a great romantic read if you’re looking for a fun, sexy, quick way to spend an hour or two. Recommended!"

Sage Advice is a short story available in the anthology Make A Play by Dreamspinner Press, and it released on June 1, 2013. This is available as an individual story and as a part of the June Daily Dose bulk package, and is also available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retailers.

Here's the blurb:

"Two athletes—one game. Piper, a ballet dancer who has a secret, has been moody for a month. His best friend, Sage, lures him into a night of drinking and friendly playing to get to the bottom of things. Only… the game is truth or dare. As they end up doing less drinking and more confessing, hidden secrets spill out, and brazen acts draw the two men closer to what really matters—and closer to each other."

5 Star Review by Top 2 Bottom Reviews:
"I really loved this book. For a short story, it really packs an emotional punch. -- If you are looking for a quick, well-written friends-to-lovers romance then Sage Advice is definitely a book for you! The characters are easy to root for and the story will leave you with a satisfied smile on your face."

4 Star Review from Hearts On Fire Reviews:
"This shorty was just so cute! -- I liked this friends to lovers idea and it was written well. I absolutely loved the final dare, what Sage gets if he wins. That was just adorable, fluffy and happy. These two are keepers."

A Wonderful Review from Rainbow Book Reviews:
"At first glance, this looks like a friends to lovers story, but personally, I think Piper and Sage have been lovers all along, they just didn’t acknowledge their deeper feelings and there was no physical dimension to their love. The game of "Truth or Dare" Sage instigates one evening is designed to change that. -- If you like stories with extremely emotional situations and characters who have a lot to learn, if you enjoy a level of sweetness that is probably unrealistic but can be a wonderful escape from real life, and if you're looking for a read that will pull at your heartstrings and leave you with a big smile at the end, then you should give this short story a try."
